No members of the public attended
Public Meeting
It was discussed that the tree that backs onto S Wilkinson’s property would be cut down
within the next month by Cllr D Stovin.
Parish Council Meeting
39. Chair welcome and open the meeting.
40. Apologies - Valid reason for absence was received from Cllr G Parker. Reason was
accepted by chair.
41. Approve previous minutes 06/07/22 & 13/07/22 - Confirmed as correct and signed by
chair.
42. Matters arising from previous minutes
9e. Locate deeds and lease for the village hall.
Deeds (Deed of Gift - unregistered) have been found and are held by solicitors Wilkin &
Chapman. Two expired leases were also held with them.
Quotes obtained by Wilkin & Chapman
1. First registration application and new lease £1,700 plus VAT
2. Just new lease £1,100 plus VAT
Option 2 was agreed by all Cllrs
It was also agreed to obtain a current valuation in preparation for the
registering the village hall at a later date due to financial constraints with this fiscal year.
16. Bus stop
Senior Transport Officer has declined our suggestions for moving the school bus stop
drop off point to within the village. Suggestion has been received regarding ‘Slow’
markings on the road. It must be noted that Cllrs are not happy with this outcome.
Email sent and waiting for a response requesting ‘Slow’ markings and Bus Stop signs at
two relevant points within the village.
27. Neighbourhood watch
Investigations ongoing reference T. Wood
28. Defibrillator
Awaiting confirmation of training dates. T. Wood
31. Queens Platinum Jubilee Funding
Agreed to defer £608.66 payment for the village hall from this fiscal year to 2023
43. Financial Matters
Payments authorised:-
Mark Steed £66.54 (£7.34 screws, £23.20 wood & £36 paving slabs)
Tina Wood £34.20 travel expenses (training)
Rent - village hall £20
Noted: Bank balances as at 31st August 2022 & Community Account - £1071.52
Premium Account - £1400.39
Discussed external auditor options for next 5 years. Agreed to remain the same.
Bank Account/Reconciliation for the quarter ended 30.06.22 signed by Cllr P Parker
44. Precept 2023/24
Discussion held around what to include/exclude.
It was agreed that the RFO would prepare document for further discussions at next meeting.
45. Planning Application - Smalley Cottage
Application now approved.
46. Public footpaths
Investigations by T. Wood into maintenance of public footpaths within the village.
Cllr P. Parker to report broken wooden stile, at the rear of the Paddocks property to fix my
street.
47. Garden Allotments - Aby Field
Discussed and agreed for the field to remain as is.
