Public Meeting
Correspondence received from Aby resident reference concerns
over the appearance of New Street.
Discussed and agreed that a letter would be sent to Platform Housing
asking if they have anything in the tenancy agreements on keeping
the bins and front gardens tidy. A member of the public advised us that
they have sent an email to our local council enquiring about the
positioning of the bins. We will wait for a response.
Also discussed was getting together a working party to litter pick around
the village and ask residents if they need any help on tidying the fronts
of properties. This will be discussed at the next Village hall meeting (18/3/24).
The resident also mentioned about having an additional New Street sign on the
south-west entry to help visitors and delivery drivers know where to turn from the
main road. It was suggested that this could be done via fix my street.
Correspondence received from Belleau church warden requesting a contribution
towards the grass cutting and churchyard maintenance in Aby churchyard.
This was discussed and further discussions are require to take this forward.
Correspondence received from Aby resident regarding concerns over a vulnerable adult
in the village. The Parish Council has already sent a letter of concern to Adult
Social Services and have agreed to writing another letter as the occurrences,
frequencies and risk potential have escalated.
All the above correspondence will be store with the paper copy of the minutes.
